Sandy Farms, Part Grower, Part Processor:
An Excellent Partner in the Industry
Nestled amongst the foothills of Mount
Hood, Sandy Farms boasts some of Portland's most dramatic panoramas and offers near perfect
conditions to grow many of the specialty berries unique to the Northwest. The
farm grows and harvests a substantial percentage of the Oregon Marionberry harvest each year as well as numerous other cane
berries, (See the link to Our Products for further information.)
The Processing Plant at Sandy Farms
offers a dedicated year-round facility for fruit processing, allowing not only harvest and processing of their own fruit,
but giving the flexibility to custom pack to order, source fruit elsewhere and build needed inventories throughout the entire
year. By operating year round, the production plant boasts a highly trained, permanent production crew and in turn,
promotes a sustainable atmosphere of growth and expansion.
The Sandy Farms Processing Plant
is managed and operated under strict sanitary and safety standards. The plant
carries HACCP certification, Kosher certification, works under GMP guidelines, and complies with our local,
state and federal regulations and agencies. Sandy Farms also practices the mantra, "be green", with new sustainability
policies and implementation going into effect around the clock.
Transpacific Food is proud to partner
with Sandy Farms, an operation small enough to make timely decisions, to maintain the hands-on quality that is so critical
in today's world of food-safety and to communicate and document results for each project run; yet it is large enough
to process the volumes that provide timely turnarounds and cost competitive prices.
Finished product run by Sandy Farms
